Here is a shot of the panel decals I
added. They're not functional, purely cosmetic, why did I add them? I just like the way
they look!
The keyboard is placed on the wall
within easy reach when the flight yoke is attached.
Here is the new tower behind those
cables, connectors and wires, it's not as bad as it looks. I mounted a printer where the
old computer used to be, it's for printing configurations. The box like extension added
room for the rudder pedals.
The cockpit with the new stick,
rudder pedals and throttle. This setup works great, not nearly as finicky as the X-36 set
up was. Thought about the Cougar but I'm extremely happy with this setup.
One thing I did do was to modify the
stick by mounting a small pad on the handrest. With my hand on the original rest I
had to slightly lift it for my thumb to reach the POV switch. The pad allows my thumb to
rest on the switch perfectly.
Here is a view of the center mounted
mouse pad, I can get to it with either hand now. It's mounted with velcro so I can place
it on my leg like a kneeboard when I'm using the yoke.
